About

Anthony E. Griffin is a multiple award winning filmmaker based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. In 2010, he was named "Michigan Filmmaker of the Year" by Muskegon Film Festival and is also the co-founder and festival director of Thriller! Chiller!, Michigan's international film festival celebrating genre movies.
 
Celebrating it's tenth year in 2013, Griffin's production company, UnSAFE Film Office, has produced and lensed several Michigan based feature and documentary films to critical acclaim and acknowledgment throughout the film festival circuit. He has produced, written, directed and shot numerous short films, music videos, web series and commercials; consulted on numerous other film productions and film festivals; and served on the boards of directors for both the West Michigan Film Video Alliance and the Grand Rapids Community Media Center.
 
Additionally, amongst the respected contributions of many other industry professionals, Griffin was invited by the Michigan legislature and testified on behalf of the Michigan film incentives enacted in 2008. He was also instrumental in the development and construction of The Koning Micro-Cinema located at the Wealthy Theatre in Grand Rapids, Michigan. 

Griffin has competed and won awards at several timed filmmaking events such as the Compass College of Cinematic Arts 24 Hour Film Festival in Grand Rapids, the Detroit Windsor International Film Festival 48 Hour Challenge and Project Twenty1, an international competition based out of Philadelphia.
